2024 Graduate Outcomes Survey
Introduction
Introduction to the 2024 Graduate Outcomes Report The Cooperative Education and Careers Division is delighted to present the findings of the survey of the Class of 2023. This year’s Graduate Outcomes Report reflects the voices of 3,194 respondents. It represents the largest survey of UL students and provides significant data for all award categories. The report allows us to examine and cross-reference the results by a range of indicators, e.g., award level, employment status, further study/training, faculty, programme, gender, location, salary, and sector. The findings will be used widely for the purposes of programme planning, accreditation, rankings, quality reviews, marketing, and strategic reporting. The report reflects a buoyant graduate labour market, with 95% of UL graduates going directly into employment or further study. The highest concentrations of graduates are in the West, Mid-West, and Southwest regions of Ireland. Internationally, the most popular destinations for the Class of 2023 were Europe, North America and the UK. This report forms part of a national survey of graduate outcomes deployed annually by the Higher Education Authority. The national data are used extensively by government agencies, second level guidance counsellors, and applicants for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. I would like to extend my thanks to Gavin Connell and Mark Robert for their work on this extensive survey and hope that you will find the report and its findings interesting and useful. Kind regards, Patrice Dr Patrice Twomey, Director, Cooperative Education and Careers Division
