The Class of 2024 continues to demonstrate strong international mobility, with 11% securing employment overseas. This reflects both the demand for UL graduates abroad and the global recognition of Irish qualifications. This year, Education emerged as the leading sector for overseas employment (16%), followed by Human Health & Social Work (15%), Professional, Scientific & Technical roles (15%), Industry (13%), and Financial, Insurance & Real Estate (11%). The distribution highlights the adaptability of UL graduates across both technical professions and people-focused roles. Geographically, the European Union remains the top destination (38%), showing a 2% increase on last year. North America (26%) and Great Britain (16%) also remain significant destinations, supported by strong cultural and economic ties. In an era of heightened economic uncertainty, UL graduates continue to compete successfully for opportunities abroad. Their ability to secure roles across a wide range of industries and geographies reinforces their reputation for quality, ambition, and adaptability in the global workforce.
