Results by Award Levels All Faculties The 2025 Graduate Outcomes Report highlights the strong demand for University of Limerick (UL) graduates across both Irish and international labour markets. Of the Class of 2024, 81% moved directly into employment, with the majority (70%) beginning their careers in Ireland and a further 11% securing roles overseas. Alongside this, 14% pursued further study or training, reflecting the continued value of advanced qualifications in a competitive market. The results reaffirm the positive link between higher educational attainment and graduate success. Employment rates rise to 94% among PhD and research graduates, 85% for taught Masters, and 79% for undergraduates. Salaries mirror this trend, ranging from €54,512 for PhD/Research Masters graduates, to €45,767 for taught Masters, and €37,204 for undergraduates. Across the cohort as a whole, the average salary stood at €41,347, with more than four in five graduates earning above €30,000. Graduates continue to contribute across a wide range of sectors, most notably Industry (19%), Human Health and Social Work (17%), Financial, Insurance and Real Estate (13%), Professional, Scientific and Technical roles (12%), and Education (12%). Geographically, the Western Corridor remains the top employment destination, accounting for 63% of graduates in work, compared with 27% in the East. Overseas, opportunities were most frequently secured in Europe (38%), North America (26%), and the UK (16%). These results demonstrate UL’s ongoing role in producing graduates who are adaptable, highly employable, and aligned with the evolving needs of the labour market — contributing not only to regional development but also to the wider global talent pool.
